Young Shooters Challenge!

	River Bend Gun Club's annual Young Shooters Challenge (YSC) is a great opportunity for young people to safely experience multiple shooting disciplines including .22 cal. rimfire rifle, .30 cal. M1 Carbine, Black Powder Muzzleloader, Shotgun, air rifle and BB rifle in a safe, supervised learning environment.

	There are no membership requirements to enter the YSC and registration is open to all youngsters from 8 to 18 years of age who are accompanied by an adult during the event. All firearms, ammunition and targets will be provided by the sponsor - no personal firearms, ammunition or targets will be allowed. Registration is limited to the first 100 participants and the accompanying adults who make registration on or before October 22. Complementary lunch will be provided to participants and their accompanying adults who make registration on or before October 22. This annual event serves both RBGC members and youth in our community by providing an opportunity to learn firearms safety and marksmanship, as well as experience the thrill of shooting a variety of firearms. Safety instruction will be provided prior to each activity. All firing will be supervised by adult volunteers knowledgeable in the particular shooting discipline.
	Safe and Fun – The River Bend Young Shooters Challenge
	How does your Young Shooter participate? Download the Registration Form and Liability Waiver, complete both documents and submit them as explained on the registration form. Remember, registration is limited to 100 participants so get your forms in early! Plan to be at the range by 8 AM. A mandatory Safety briefing and instructions for participants will begin at 8:30 AM. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PRESENT AT THE SAFETY BRIEFING – don’t be late! Expect to be at the range until mid-afternoon. Participants will be outside all day so please check the weather forecast and bring appropriate attire (long pants and boots or substantial shoes are recommended for all participants).
	All firing will be done on RBGC’s Cowboy/IPSC Complex which is the first range on your right as you come onto club property. Plenty of parking is available. A map to River Bend Gun Club is available here. We recommend you bring a chair.
	For your convenience, the YSC venue is equipped with clean, modern restrooms.
